The Aman Foundation’s life-saving ambulance service has certified paramedics and basic lifesaving (BLS) trained- staff. The Aman Foundation has launched this campaign across Karachi in key shopping centers where the Aman paramedics and nurses will be teaching and interacting with interested individuals First Aid in managing wounds, burns, chest pain etc. along with CPR and other emergency medical procedures through demonstrations and live exercises.
The awareness campaign was launched at a time when Karachi had been experiencing a change in weather with frequently rising temperatures, coupled with the month of Ramadan. The demonstrations included tackling emergencies due to strokes, dehyderation and other heat related situations as well.
The campaign was aimed to create awareness about medical emergencies and how they can be managed while medical emergency services are dialed in for an intervention. The mall activities in Karachi also focused on creating awareness among the masses about the Aman Foundation’s work towards creating a network of life saving ambulances across Karachi and how people can provide their patronage in fulfilling this need.
Aman’s vision is to provide responsible and affordable lifesaving emergency medical services for each and every citizen. This first ever campaign by Aman Health is a step towards that goal.
